I decided to buck up and exercise. The girls in the ward have been playing weekly and I've heard so many rumors about it that I decided I wanted to be in on the crowd and played myself.
To be honest, I was scared, mostly due to the aforementioned rumors (really competitive, bruised arms, 2 hours of playing!). But these ladies are all my friends (11 of us played that night) and I lasted the whole 2 hours. And I didn't feel too sheepish even after not having played in over 10 years. Tyler laughed imagining me playing any group sport. But I did pretty well! I'll go again! Thanks ladies!
Needless to say, I slept so well that night. And I didn't get bruises (we used a nice soft ball) but my arms did itch. And now, two days later, I am STILL sore. I feel like an old lady every time I sit down or stand up. I have to put my weight onto something to get up. Oh, sad. But it's a good pain, you know?
Oh, and the best part was....I didn't think about my etsy shop once! That's a record!
Stay tuned because my shop is opening very soon......

ReplyDeleteWay to be involved and active.
ReplyDeleteSo, just wanted to let you know, it gets easier. The first two times I played, I hurt for days afterwards. My body was just not used to moving like that. Now I don't hurt at all. It was fun having you play.
