Awesome April

April started out with a trick. On April's Fools Day Jennie and Grant and kids came over for dinner. I had pinned a trick that we tried on the kids. I covered frozen brussel sprouts in chocolate to look like Oreo truffles or cake pops. It worked as Warren was the first to take a bite by popping the whole thing in his mouth! I think he actually ate but discovered, and announced to the other kids that they were a fraud. The adults tried to convince them otherwise and insisted this was their dessert and they should try them. One by one, most of them took a tiny bite out of one, to see what it was like. I thought it was  pretty funny and not a terribly mean or drawn out trick. Unlike Jocelyn.

She wrote Tyler a long letter confessing how she kissed a friend of Samuel's. How awful she felt and that she'd never do it again for a long time. Well.....Tyler believed it and responded! LOL. He responded with compassion and love and personal stories of his own (which was TMI for me to read, lol). Anyway, after about 24 hours I couldn't keep it a secret anymore and told Tyler it was a fake. He laughed and laughed.

Cecily is allergic to something! The school nurses tried calling me several times before I answered. Cecily was at recess and touched a dandelion and then rubbed her eye. Then it swelled up like crazy. I took her home, gave her some benedryl and finally it went back to normal. She often has random sneezing fits. She's probably got some minor allergies but we've never had her formally tested.

Easter with the Stoehr side. I finally successfully made rolls (though they were Rhodes, they still rose properly).

Grandma Furber bought the eggs and got the brown organic kind so it made for a richer color when dying. It still works, even when they're not white!

Young Women Fundraiser. They had a hoedown, soup dinner and acution. Jocelyn made this Easter cake, nearly all by herself. I helped with the "grass" but she did all the rest. It looked delicious!

Tyler successfully installed 4 can lights in his office. Samuel helped him out. The dust is still covering all of his boxes of books and computer equipment. But the house hasn't' burned down!

Cecily had a 3rd grade colonial program. It was so delightful! Tyler, the kids and I attended the evening performance. It was well written, performed and patriotic! I asked the Facebook if anyone had a costume we could borrow and sure enough, the Gordon family from our ward, lent us their daughters from when she was in elementary school! Pictured is Cecily and her school BFF, Aubrey.

We have all kinds of wildlife visit our yard. I think this is a falcon...or a hawk?

Watching General Conference at the Harris home in Loveland, Saturday session after the guys helped finishing their basement. My friend, Jessica, gave us the Conference board seen in the background. I was happy to pass it on to them as our kids have kind of outgrown it. We also spent the night and watched more (or all?) on Sunday. Tyler and the kids were going to camp outside in our big tent. Tyler brought the tent but forgot to check for poles inside the bag. Needless to say, they were not there. So, sadly, the kids slept inside on the floor of their cousins bedroom floor and Tyler and I shared a blowup mattress. Be prepared is still a relevant motto even after graduating from the Scout program.  Sydney is obsessed with Tyler. She loves him to chase and tickle her. She just loves to be around people in general. So she was excited for all the company at her house that weekend. Here she is putting silly putty on our feet.

Audrey came over a few times to play with Colin. This was taken after she ate a ring pop that stains your tongue...and entire mouth, lol.
